Studying for RHCSA

Why I am learning Linux, how I am preparing for RHCSA, and how I am building stronger technical skills.

Right now I'm focused on getting stronger in Linux and preparing for the RHCSA. I see RHCSA as a practical way to build real Linux skills that can help me in IT, systems administration, cloud, and cybersecurity.

Why I'm Learning Linux

Linux is one of the most practical skills I can build for my current IT career. It shows up everywhere in technology, from servers and networking to cloud platforms and security work.

Learning Linux also helps me become more comfortable with the command line, troubleshooting, permissions, services, and system administration. Those are skills that carry over into many technical roles.

How I'm Preparing for RHCSA

Part of this journey is getting reps in. That means working through labs, practicing commands, building confidence in the terminal, and learning how Linux actually works instead of just memorizing facts.

I want to use this blog to document what I'm studying, which RHCSA topics are difficult, and how my Linux preparation changes over time.
